Story
Way back in 2011 I completed my first half marathon which was very special to me as both myself and my Dad decided to do this and was great fun.
Unfortunately over the next year my Dad starting having symptoms including ankle drop and tripping over with no explanation. He struggled on with a smile on his face through work and family life being there for everyone.
He was subsequently diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease which progressively took away his independence and ability to function. If it was not for the amazing charity of the Motor Neurone Disease Association this would have been sooner. An electric wheelchair was provided which enabled my Dad to be independent and even travel to his local pub to be with his friends.
In 2016 the conditions progressed and unfortunately he passed away in June.
This has left a big hole in our lives and i hope by raising Money this can fund new research into MND and find better treatments or potentially a cure for this terrible disease.
Please give as much as you can and your support will get me round a full 26.2 miles I am sure.
