Hi Guys
As you will know, Rugby is my passion and great joy in life. I have been playing it since I was 6 and with the support of Dad have managed to play at a reasonably high standard. I captained my school team throughout my time at Marlborough House and have done the same at Cranbrook for the last two years. I also play club rugby which is a lot harder and last year I switched from Tunbridge Wells to Sevenoaks as the coaching and the team are a far higher standard. I am playing with 9 county players, 3 of which play for Saracens and the England development squad.
I have made the No 7 shirt my own despite fierce competition at the club and my goal is to go onto play pro rugby when I’m older
To that end I have been lucky enough to have been invited on a tour to Australia at the beginning of July next year with the first team. This tour is likely to be the biggest opportunity I have yet been given from any coach, friend or club. This is primarily because I am touring with lads who are 17 or 18 years old who are more experienced and talented. I am hopeful that with these players I would strongly benefit and my rugby would improve. In light of my goal I believe that this is the first step towards that dream of playing pro rugby which I have sustained and worked on for so long now
However there is one small challenge. Because of the number of flights, accommodation and food etc the tour will cost £2800. I feel that this is simply to much to ask my parents for and I have come to the conclusion that I will have to raise every penny of it myself. This tour means everything to me and I will be working hard to raise this money for my trip and at the same time for a children’s charity. 50% of everything I raise will go to that Charity
To do this I am going to do a 28 mile run around BEWL WATER with the aim of raising £200 per mile at least. 100% of anything I raise over £5600 will go to the Charity.
So here comes the question – will you please sponsor me?
Kind regards
Ryan
