Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On September 16th 2011 I was admitted to hospital and quickly diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Having been cycling, gliding and working less than two weeks beforehand, this came as a huge shock. After an unsuccessful first course of Chemotherapy, the doctors decided the way forward was two courses of stronger Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and a Bone Marrow Transplant. I was incredibly fortunate to be matched to a German donor and received the transplant on Valentines Day 2012. Without the work of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research I wouldn't be here today.
Hopefully this will be a positive way to mark the one year anniversary and give something back.
Update: My balance is really poor at the moment and I really cannot afford any injuries associated with falling off a bicycle. So I've got myself a tricycle! I'll be tricycling up and down the Manifold Track in the peak district (the trike is not really suitable for the roads of London). It'd be great if people would like to come along (cycle hire is available) - get in touch. It's quite a popular spot so I'll be stopping people we pass to raise awareness and to hopefully raise even more.
I've now got JustTextGiving too. Text LLRB77 followed by the amount including the £ to 70070.
