After my first seizure at the age of 30, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy, what I didn’t know then was this diagnosis would destroy me mentally and if it wasn’t for my family and friends around me, I wouldn’t be here today to be writing this. 

Epilepsy is more than a seizure, it’s the not knowing, the fear of when it might strike, the time it takes to recover and the total lack of control! And this is where the Epilepsy Society come into play, for over 11 years they have worked with me to try and find a medicinal way to control my seizures and are now working with me on my journey towards surgery! 

And this is why I am doing this run, to prove that although I can’t control my seizures I can still fight, I can live my life and I can raise awareness on the way!
