BEVA and the British Equestrians for Ukraine are raising urgently needed funds to purchase 10 generators to provide power and light to rescue locations that are housing Ukraine's horses injured or displaced as a result of the war.

Story

The war in Ukraine has been raging for almost a year. Winter has presented people and animals with incredible challenges with temperatures dipping to -15 Celsius. Short days and long, freezing nights mean much of the daily care of Ukraines horses must be done beyond daylight hours. Power cuts deprive vets of light, hot water, equipment and sustenance, making caring for displaced and injured horses difficult and emergency veterinary care almost impossible.

The British Equestrians for Ukraine have sourced generators that we can safely transport to where they are needed in Ukraine. Each generator costs £1,500 and will be lifesaving for Ukraines vulnerable horses. BEVA Trust and World Horse Welfare have long-standing relationships with the Ukrainian Veterinary Society. Vets who warmly welcomed our members to Kyiv are now fighting in the army as well as treating animals.

Your donation will give the gift of Power To Ukraine. Any excess funds will go to the fund to support equids in Ukraine.
