In 2010 my close friends, Gareth and Xina were blessed with their 1st son Brody. Unfortunately he was born with CHD (a serious heart condition) which meant he had to have open heart surgery at only 11 days old.

It was a hard time for family and friends but thanks to the NHS and the BHF the story had a happy ending. 

3 years on Brody is an amazing little boy who is full of life and energy.
