Story
As my mate Dodger always bleets on about, I do believe that in this life, there sadly is one thing that does count (especially when fundraising) and that's what is in the banks (high st/online). In some cases of you that is really large amounts. Some hardly
anything. This stuff does NOT GROW ON TREES. So.. As of today I've got to pick your pocket (both/or 2).
I am now 5 weeks into my training to run the London Marathon and I would be humbly grateful and very attracted to you if you could please donate any amount to help me hand over £1500 to the wonderful charity the Actors' Children's Trust (www.actorschildren.org).
“Our children are our future and their well-being is of the greatest concern to us. Actors pursuing their chosen profession face many difficulties but, when they are parents, those problems can multiply. There can be illness or unforeseen accident
in the family, or simply a special need for childcare when acting work has been secured."
Juliet Stevenson.
So I'd love to help out my actor brothers and sisters and do my small bit to lighten the strain that comes with this job and bringing up healthy and happy kids.
To do that I am RUNNING TWENTY SIX POINT TWO MILES. In one go hopefully. At the moment I am still excited and only slightly scared but I expect that to flip but it is a very long way.
To give some of you context that is the equivalent of running from The Groucho Club to Luton. Or the Wetherspoons in Leicester Square to Billericay. So no more Ubers for me after this.
I had a friend who ran for ACT last year and didn't quite make his target and came home one day to find his flat had been completely done over *whispers* apparently..
Thank you all so much in advance and much love.
