In 2020, I was told the shocking news that my best friend James had sadly died at the age of 28. It has taken me a long time to process it and come to terms with his death. However, 2022 would have been his 30th Birthday and it feels only right to honour that. 

I have therefore decided that throughout 2022, I will be undertaking various fundraising activities in memory of James and celebrating his 30th Birthday, despite him not being able to celebrate with us. 

One of James' best traits, was his altruism and willingness to help those less fortunate. This was never more true than the time spent supporting the homeless community across Manchester. He would regularly walk round giving food, money and clothing to those sleeping rough. He became a recognisable and likeable figure across the homeless community and I wanted to celebrate this and raise as much money as possible for a cause which I know James would be proud of.

I have set up an Instagram page - https://www.instagram.com/bemorejames/   where I will be sharing photos and videos of my progress. I'm still looking for some fundraising ideas so happy for people to DM and comment on any suggestions you have. 

I hope you can all support a great cause and I'll continue to share information about the great work Lifeshare are doing across Manchester. I would love to honour James' memory by raising as much money as possible, so any contribution is greatly appreciated and I hope you all enjoy the journey!
