We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

My friend, Simon Adams died last year after battling Motor Neurone Disease but during his last two years of life the 47-year-old pioneered a £1 million charity drive to fund research into the condition. Although Simon is no longer with us, his dream to raise £1 million for the Motor Neurone Disease Association is still very much alive. So far The Simon Adams Tribute Fund has raised a staggering £344,547.54

To raise money for this fund I ran the Plymouth Half Marathon on 3rd June 2012 and I am now attempting to run the Bristol Half Marathon on 30th September 2012.

All of the money raised on this site will go towards Simon's grand target and to research motor neurone disease.

Simon was a passionate rugby man who completed most of a bucket list of ambitions and offered himself for drugs trials to help people facing MND in the future. He also pledged his body to medical research. He believed that one day, in the not too distant future, the words:

“You have motor neurone disease"

will be followed by the phrase:

“It is curable”

I would like to thank you for taking the time to read "my story" and hopefully you will show your support, dig deep and donate now. Every donation will help towards that £1 million target and will also motivate me to run!
