Story
Every year, around 1 in 400,000 in the UK is diagnosed with a cavernoma that has caused symptoms. This statistic includes my friend Rebecca’s daughter, Amy.
A cavernoma is a ‘raspberry-like’ collection of blood vessels in the brain or spinal cord, which can lead to stroke and/or seizures. Sometimes the condition progresses whereby brain surgery is needed. Cavernoma Alliance UK offers vital support for sufferers and families faced with the daunting and scaring diagnosis.
I am walking 100km over two days to raise money for this important charity. That is a heck of a long way for my little legs!! Any donation, however small, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
