Story
Love never fails. Coronavirus impacts all of us. But love unites us all. As this virus spreads across the world, love rises up in response. You've already shown incredible kindness to your neighbours. Now is the time to reach out to your neighbours both near and far.
In 2019 I completed my pilgrimage to Santiago. I'd walked 500 miles from the Pyrenees, right across Northern Spain, following the yellow arrows of the ancient pilgrim route along with pilgrims from all over the world. Now the Camino is closed until better times.
I'm planning to walk 100K around my neighbourhood, in the first 2 weeks of May. I'll share where I am on a virtual Camino, starting at Sarria and remembering the lovely countryside of Galicia as I walk to Santiago. Doing this for real would mean I'd get my Compostela, the certificate given to pilgrims who walk at least 100K to the cathedral in Santiago. I'm doing this for Christian Aid because there cannot be a house to house collection this year. I'd love you to sponsor me, whether you are part of Churches Together in Newport Pagnell or hear of this through other media. All the money donated through Just Giving will go directly to Christian Aid. Thank you and Buen Camino!
