Story
Myself & David have been fortunate to gain places to run the London Marathon in April. It will by no means be easy, running 26.2 miles will take as much mental strength as physical. We want to & will put in the work to make sure our London Marathon experiences are memorable (hopefully for all the right reasons!)
For us both, the London Marathon is a bucket list item, we feel privileged & are excited to say we’ll get to participate in one of the biggest sporting events in the UK.
With that in mind, for our fundraising, rather than simply sponsor us to run the London Marathon, why not give a donation or sponsor our ‘Quadruple Marathon’ !! Yes we are that mad 😂
For ‘fun’ we are going to complete the marathon distances on a rower, then on a bike erg, followed by a ski erg & finishing on an air runner. We’ll be completing the 104.8 miles (168.8km) on Saturday 25th February. Why not guess how long it will take us to complete on each piece of equipment? Prizes for the closest guesses. Clue: It’s gonna be a long day 😆
Many of you will know my personal connection with Marie Curie. They gave wonderful care to my mum & I will be forever grateful. I always look for ways to give back, say thank you & help the hospice continue its valuable work.
Please know that any donations you give will help make sure others with terminal illnesses & their loved ones get the most from the time they have left 💛
