Ever thought about scaling the heights of the great Mount Everest, well why not try it from the comfort of your own home this May?! Take on this epic challenge during isolation, conquer within 12 weeks and earn your medal!

Story

Hello, we are the Year 6 staff team at a primary school in Staffordshire. Our Spring Term topic is 'Facing the Challenge' and we explore Everest and the people who have tried to summit! All from the safety of the classroom.

This year we are not in our classrooms every day so we thought we would climb it instead from the safety of our homes and support this fabulous cause whilst attempting to keep fit and work off the snacks!

This involves a combined climb of 8848m over 12 weeks. We will be climbing our stairs 40 times a day, every day to reach this target.

The kind support you give towards this epic challenge will go towards supporting Gurkha veterans, their families and wider communities in Nepal, ensuring they are able to live their lives with dignity through the provisions of financial, medical and community aid. For 200 years they fought for us, now we fight for them.
