As an ambassador for this special charity, I am keen to raise as much money as possible to help Naomi House & Jacksplace. They have faced huge financial challenges this year because of the pandemic, with so many cancelled fundraising events and their 23 charity shops having to temporarily close, this year more than ever, they need our help. 

Naomi House & Jacksplace are hospices for children and young adults with life limiting conditions and life threatening conditions. The charity provides care to people living in communities across the seven counties of central southern England. The charity has two specialist units: Naomi House for children, and Jacksplace for teenagers and young adults. Each unit offers an appropriate environment for each age group. Services offered include respite care, emergency care, end-of-life care and ongoing bereavement support. With less than 10% of funding received from the government in normal circumstances, Naomi House & Jacksplace need to raise over £9 million to run the two units each year.

Unfortunately, due to the recent lockdown announcement, Naomi House & Jacksplace are no longer able to host their traditional Santa Fun Run in Winchester. However, Christmas is never cancelled at Naomi House & Jacksplace, so the mini-Morgans and I are taking part in our own Virtual Santa Fun Run! Wearing fluffy red Santa suits we'll be completing our 5k in a festive cheery manner in our hometown during December.

As a family we have been connected with Naomi House for nearly 7 years. It is an incredible place and a phenomenal charity. All of us hope that our children would never have to endure what the children, young adults and families who use these facilities go through. But if our children were in their position, what we would be desperate for are the amazing facilities and excellent care that is provided at Naomi House & Jacksplace. 

Naomi House's vision is that every child, young adult and their families receive the care services they need, when and where they need them and for as long as needed. In times of emergency Naomi House
& Jacksplace is there, giving families the support they need through
intensely difficult times. And at the end of a child or young
person's life, they pull out all the stops to give them a peaceful and
dignified end, surrounded by family members.


It's not cheap. That's why every penny we can raise for Naomi House &
Jacksplace is valuable as it helps support local life-limited and
life-threatened children, young people and their families.
