Story
On 15th Jan 2021 I went to the Dr with a tender side, by 24th Feb 2021 I underwent major surgery for at The Royal Marsden, Chelsea for Ovarian Cancer Stage 3, I am now under going Chemotheraphy at The Royal Marsden, Sutton. I have been extremely lucky with all the care given to me and the resources I have made a great deal of use of are from Macmillan.
I wanted to do something to raise money for charity and decided that since I wanted to use a Macmillan resource, Recipes for People Affected by Cancer and hold some cook togethers - this would be a good starting point.
The recipes are simple, healthy and during the sessions I will discuss how they can be adapted. All info will come from the above resource. You don't have to have cancer to join in, all sessions will be a friendly place to be, you don't even need to cook! I have initially set up three sessions but if they are popular, I will carry on - I used to have people to my house to cook but for the time being this will be equally lovely to do.
Any donation would be welcome as a one -off or per session - or just to donate to an amazing cause and help others - up to you.
If you want to book onto one of the Zoom Cook togethers then here is the link which will give you all the info. If you cant make it live they will be recorded and you will be sent a link.
