Being a novelist cyclist, I welcome the challenge that 'Ride the North' cycle run poses. This is a personal challenge as 170 miles is a monumental achievement that will put my physical capabilities to the test. My aim is to raise as much funds as possible for the worthy cause of  Leukaemia & Lymphoma research. Many of us have been affected by friends or relatives exposed to these blood related illnesses. Fundraising will help to research the preventative measures that will stop these conditions in the future.
