Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am doing a Sponsored Slim in memory of my dearest friend, Mary Gray, who died suddenly and tragically of meningitis in January 2010.  We met on our first day of university and remained the best of friends for 27 years until Mary's untimely death. Together, we celebrated life's joys and successes but also supported each other through some very difficult periods. Mary was beautiful in every way, one of life's great successes and a wonderful friend who I miss every day.  I know she would want me to become healthier through losing weight and doing it this way helps to motivate me for success. It is also an opportunity to support the great work undertaken by the Meningitis Trust which works so hard to find ways to prevent this dreadful disease and support those who suffer with it and their families.
