In September 2022 I lost my grandma. She spent her final days being cared for at Rotherham Hospice so it is a charity close to my heart. As a family we took immense comfort knowing that my grandma was as happy and comfortable as possible and she was cared for right until the very end. 

She also received outpatient care from the hospice which helped her as her health deteriorated, but also meant that she could stay at home where she wanted to be for as long as she could be.

I’ve decided to run the Sheffield 10K in her memory to raise money for Rotherham Hospice. The run will take place in September 2023 (giving me plenty of time to get myself fit) and will mark a year since losing my grandma. This will be no easy feat for me as currently I couldn’t even run for a bus! So, wish me luck and please donate to this amazing charity if you can!
