Alzheimer's midnight Ben Nevis challenge - 2 pound each please
Fundraising for Alzheimer's Society
Fundraising for Alzheimer's Society
I am asking for only a small donation of £2. I don't need a huge amount so I am thinking I should know 175 people willing to help with just £2 for such a good cause. If you feel like putting more in, then of course you can, but all I am asking is the minimum £2.
I am taking part in the Ben Nevis midnight challenge with my friend Peter Elia on the 22-23 June 2013 to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.
The challenge is climbing Ben Nevis at night, the way lit only by head torch and moonlight.
Last year Peter's Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This is a very debilitating disease which causes the memory to steadily decline over a period time. I'm fundraising, along with Peter, in honour of his Mum and everyone who has a loved one with Alzheimer's.
The fundraising is also important as it really does make a difference with your help. By 2021 there will be over 1 million people in the UK suffering from dementia. Dementia is terminal and there is no cure. The Alzheimer's Society fund research into the cause, cure and care of dementia.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
