Story
Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds. Fundraising helps them recover and get on with their lives. So far Help for Heroes have supported more than 25,000 people and won’t stop until every veteran gets the support they deserve.
Everyone should have opportunity to strive to improve their lives. It must be incredibly difficult to do this when individuals have trained to be the best they can within the armed forces, only to find they can no longer serve and exit their chosen career path due to a physical or psychological wound. Often the struggle to transit into civilian life is hard enough, but for the wounded it must be incredibly difficult.
I therefore will be taking on this challenge to help these individuals to strive for their own goals by setting my own.
I intend to include within this fundraising challenge, many daily challenges recognizing that for these Men and Women daily life challenges are a continual. These will be physical or mental challenges, from press ups to park runs, learn how to do Excel V Lookups, complete a crossword, arrange and host a social event and much more. These plus fundraising and training updates will be posted my FB, Link'd In and Instagram pages
The total £3000 fundraising target is split between charitable fund and the cost to enter the event. I will be funding the cost to enter the event and the funds raised from your charitable donations will be for the charity to fund their good work.
I hope you can support me by donating whatever you feel appropriate.
Thank you
Russ Avery
