Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Friday 16th - Saturday 17th June 2023, 6 colleagues from the Swan Inn Hatfield Peverel, who are also members of the Peverel Velo Club, will be undertaking a unique challenge.

To cycle 400 miles from Berwick upon Tweed at the English/Scottish border, to Hatfield Peverel, Essex in just 24 hours.

The 6 riders are:

  • Glenn Harrington
  • Paul Nicholas
  • Richard Howard
  • John Mouser
  • Jimmy Isaacs
  • Simon Cook

They are undertaking this challenge in order to raise money for Blind Veterans UK. This charity performs incredible work helping and supporting vision impaired ex service men and women of every generation rebuild their lives after sight loss.

This will be the culmination of a near 20 year cycling fund raising 'career', including Lands End - John O'Groats both ways, Hatfield Peverel to Norwich and back in a day, plus numerous other smaller events, raising in total just over £50,000 for various charitable organisations.

This will be their Grand Finale!
