Story

On Saturday 18th June I will be embark on another walking challenge on the Jurassic coast in Dorset which starts at Weymouth Clock tower and ends at Studland. This is a distance of aprox 32 miles (52Km) and should be achieved in less than 12hrs!

This year I will be raising funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital where Archie our son was treated after his illness in 2009.

All the funds raised will be channeled directly back to the burns unit where Archie received the bulk of his treatment. We still make regular trips back to see the consultants and skin specialist who have been fabulous throughout.

This year we managed to raise just over £2,500 at the Farm Shop Easter Fair in April. I am hoping to raise around £1000 on my walk to take the grand total up to £3,500. Please give generously.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
