Rupert and Rudi where born sleeping at 25 weeks and 2 days gestation on 17th June 2017 after developing Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). Despite the best efforts and interventions from the medical teams at both Burnley and Birmingham Womens Hospital the rapid advancement of the TTTS meant that sadly they did not survive. We are fundraising to support Tamba, the Twins and Multiple Birth Association who need to raise £60,000 for phase 2 of their vital research into TTTS which effects between 10 and 15% of all Identical Twin Pregnancies.
