Story

Alzheimers is a terrible disease which is affecting more and more of us.  Watching our loved ones go through the many stages, of forgetfullness and confusion is truly devastiating.  We here at Metro Rod have decided that enough is enough!  Join us on the 1st of September on a 5k run around the woods, jump over trees, run over bridges, take in the local wildlife, avoid the puddles and try not to get lost!

Bring the children, bring the dogs, prepare to get muddy and get sponsored!! A minimum of £1 donation on sign in at the marquee and then you're good to go.

A raffel will take place in the afternoon, with raffel tickets available to purchase over any of our social networks, over the phone or via e-mail aswell as on the day.

For children taking part, (they do not need to a reservation,) there will also be a scavenger hunt, with lots of things for them to find through the trees!  children and families that are waiting for relatives; Willingham woods picnic area, is a beautiful place to sit down relax or play.  Refreshments will  be available throughout the race and at the marquee as well as the cafe.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
