We are the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and we're leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.

Story

In 2021, I ran 1013 kilometres, over 22 unique ultra marathons in less than one month. The adventure started on Sunday the 5th of September, 2021 in Cornwall and officially finished on Friday the 1st of October in London. However, I popped the London Marathon onto the end too!

Anxiety and depression are a big societal issue and too often results in planned or realised suicides. Suicides are especially high amongst men.

I have been there, stepping onto the edge of self destruction twice. I am still circled by the black dog.

Together with my incredible supporters - many who ran uncharted personal distances - we raised over £53,000 of much-needed funding for CALM - the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

However, the need goes on and I set a target of £105,000 and I'm determined to raise it.

In March 2025, I will attempt to run 62miles. Normally this distance in a month wouldn't be overly challenging, however I have recently had colon resectioning, so it's pretty intimidating!

Thank you for all the support you can afford this run and campaign Against Living Miserably.
