Story

I'm unfit, about as far from an athlete as you can imagine. But then I decided I wanted to start running, and surprisingly, I quite enjoy it. So, to give myself a target, I have decided to run the Virtual London Marathon on October 3rd. Rather than a jaunt through London, the virtual marathon permits you to set your own route. So I will be running the length of my parish*, from Achnasheen to Strathpeffer. As if that wasn't enough, I'm going to conduct three church services along the route, at Lochluichart, Contin, and then finishing the run at Strathpeffer.

I'm collecting for the Scottish Association for Mental Health.  Folk's

mental health has taken a beating during lockdown, due to things like

isolation and the withdrawal of support services.  It can be

be harder for us to do the things that normally help keep us well.  So I'd like to do something to fling a few bob their way.  I'm aiming for £500.

*Former parish. I was only filling in until the new Rev arrived.
