As many of you know, as well as studying medicine, I am also a paediatric nurse and used to work at King's College Hospital on the Rays of Sunshine ward. I'm raising money for all the children I've looked after who have been affected by cancer, especially one little girl in particular who some of you may know. 

Cancer is always in the spotlight, especially with recent television fundraising campaigns, but that doesn't mean that we can sit back and think that these charities are receiving enough. 

Children with Cancer UK:

- funds life saving research into the cause, preventions and treatment of all childhood cancers

- funds innovative welfare projects to provide better care and treatment of all childhood cancers

- campaigns to raise awareness of childhood cancer, to protect more children and to improve the lives of young cancer patients, today and for future generations.

Please give generously as this charity does such great things for children who shouldn't be going through the pain and suffering that they are.
