Hello, my name is Ben Dave.
I have an idea, it’s pretty simple. I want to run a lap of Yorkshire. I’ve mapped a route, it’s roughly 472 miles and incorporates over 41,000 ft of elevation, that’s more than Everest (that bit scares me quite a bit) I am going to set off on the 1st August which just so happens to be Yorkshire Day, this is really happening!
Why? I presume you are asking yourself? Good question, I need a big challenge, I started running a couple of years ago. Running has changed my life, and me! I started out about 5 stone heavier than I am now, and smoking a couple of packets a day, last year I ran 6 marathons and now it’s time to up the stakes. I am raising funds for CALM. I’ve had my own battles with shitty mental health and it’s something I feel very passionate about, more on that later…
