Story
Full details of this challenge is on my blog, here: http://runningthetubelines.blogspot.com/
14/12/10: I ran the rest of the Circle Line clockwise from Cannon Street to Paddington, in almost freezing conditions, avoiding growing numbers of police officers and students, and leaving with a bear behind.
9/12/10: Civil unrest in the Capital meant that my Circle Line run started at Cannon Street and headed anti-clockwise, via Paddington Bear, to Hammersmith. It was a compacted half marathon taking in some of London's iconic sites.
27/11/10: This run was a modest trek, in almost freezing conditions, across the City of London, with a special guest!
20/11/10: I completed my longest run this year - a 22.5 mile run of just under four hours - in which I conquered the 25 stations of the Bakerloo Line; got lost twice, was nearly eaten by a cat, and failed to locate a mango.
13/11/10: Second run completed - between two mighty towers in London: The Shard in London Bridge to Canary Wharf, in the City of London (needing to cross the Thames!)
6/11/10: I completed my first run, that of the entire Victoria Line from Brixton to Walthamstow Central, in total 15.5 miles.
I'm doing this challenge for three reasons:
1. To explore the great Capital City that is London.
2. To raise money for SANDS, the charity providing support in the face of neonatal death and stillbirths. For those of you that know us well, you will be aware of our own personal experience in this area. It is through taking on this great challenge that I hope to inspire others to get involved with the world around them and make a positive difference, including to other families affected by such bereavements.
