Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
It appears that a very enthusiastic OT has talked me into raising funds for the ward, well it didn't take much prompting to be honest. Between Kirsty's powers of persuasion and my willingness to push physical boundaries we reckon we can raise a fair bit of money for the benefit of Bryngofal Ward - Acute Mental Health Admissions at Prince Philip Hospital.
In the month of October I will run every day including :-
Cardiff Half Marathon - 13.1 miles around Cardiff City Centre - 01st October 2017
Run, Walk, Crawl Gower Ultra 50 - a 50 mile circumnavigation of the rugged Gower peninsula - 07th October 2017
Marathon Eryri - 26.2 miles of a demanding route, encircling Snowdon, Wales’ and England’s highest peak - 28th October 2017.
All in an attempt to run #100MilesForMentalHealth.
What's more on World Mental Health Day - October 10th, the Bryngofal Ward OT staff are organising a sponsored coastal walk for patient's, families and staff to take part in, again raising money for the ward. All monies raised will be used to purchase tools that aid in mental health recovery helping to build confidence, resilience, self-esteem, worth and confidence and essentially equipping people with the essential skills required to succeed in regaining and maintaining good mental health.
Everyone is welcome to come along to support or walk with us, all we ask is that you make us aware in advance in order to provide sponsor forms, alternatively you can ask for donations to be made via this link.
