Belfast City Marathon · 19 September 2021

The Larder is a community food hub using mutual aid to ensure that all in East Belfast has reliable access to good and affordable food.

Story

Having worked and lived in East Belfast for several years now, I have witnessed first-hand the essential role that The Larder plays in the local community. Unfortunately we live in a world where foodbanks exist, but this does not detract from the fact that we need to support these selfless organisations as best as possible!

Alongside Ryan Magee, Tom Coghlan and Scott Hunter-Jamison, I'll be attempting to complete my first full marathon on the 19th of Septmeber in Belfast. After the hard year that we've experienced due to the Coronavirus epidemic, I wanted to challenge myself by training for this event, but more importantly, I thought it would be a great opportunity to raise some funds for those who have been most greatly affected.

I appreciate that times are tough, but if you have any money to spare, I would love it if you could donate to this cause. The work that The Larder does in the local community is extremely valuable and has a tangibly positive effect.

Cheers!
