Running for Orangutans

London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Taking part in the London Marathon has always been a dream of mine, right up there on my bucket list. I was, finally, lucky enough to secure a place in the ballot in 2017 but injury stopped me from taking part in 2018. Here I am today, ready and raring to go in 2019 after deferring and what a fantastic opportunity to not only tick something off my bucket list but raise some money for a very deserving cause.
Did you know Orangutans numbers are plummeting rapidly. All because of us. Their habitat, the rainforests, in Indonesia are being decimated to make way for palm oil plantations. Palm oil is being used in so many foods because it’s a cheap oil to use. Orangutan Appeal are a UK charity who work in Borneo to help save the Orangutans. That’s not the only work they do, they work with other units and foundations as well. Take a look at their website to see the fantastic work they do.
If you’ve read this far, then thank you 😊. If you could spare anything to help me help them I would be so grateful.
Thank you and lots of love 😘
