The Great North Run Half Marathon - Newcastle, 11th September 2016

Great North Run 2016 · 11 September 2016 ·
Hi everyone and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I'm proudly running the Great North Run in September in honour of a fantastic bloke, Damian Heys, who sadly passed away earlier this year from blood cancer.
York Hospital's Ward 31 is the haematology/oncology department that looked after Damian and did a fantastic job of caring for him, which is why I am hoping to raise as much as money as possible to help fund their ward so they can continue looking after people who very much need it.
York Hospital is also close to my heart, as the staff there have looked after many of my loved ones in the past, whether stitching people back together, delivering babies or nursing people back to health.
The one thing I will always remember about Damian is how much he loved his music and dancing, so you can guarantee I will be pulling together a tracklist of tunes Damo would approve of, so that instead of running the entire 13.1 miles in September, I will be dancing too.
Every penny counts, so please do dig deep and help fund the team that did such a fantastic job looking after our friend.
We love you Damo.
