A few of you know that I decided to do another marathon, this time is it the Isle of Wight Marathon on the 6th October so hopefully cooler than the Milton Keynes one earlier this year. So now we come down to the why – 8 weeks ago my friend Mark Russell from University lost his battle with cancer – this cruel disease took him from his wife and two children too soon – as many of you will know I have run for Cancer Research many times before trying to do a little bit towards making a difference and save live. This time however I will be running for a small independent charity called Dorothy House which delivers hospice care. This amazing group of people supported Michelle, Imogen & Ben through the most difficult time of their lives. Michelle has set herself the target of raising £7000 in Marks name which is what it costs to keep the Hospice open for a day. I want to do my bit to say thank you to this amazing supportive charity. Anything you can give would be much appreciated.
Each day they look after around 700 families affected by cancer, motor neurone disease and other life threatening conditions. All their care is provided free of charge.
