Barbara passed away in January 2014 from a disease called Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which is a type of obstructive lung disease characterised by chronically poor airflow. It typically worsens over time.

Barbara was diagnosed with severe COPD in July 2012. She became dependant on oxygen. This led to heart problems and she sadly passed away on 19th January 2014.  She was an amazing wife, mother, nana and so much more. She is sadly missed.

Her son, daughter,  grand children and friends are working hard to train for a 10k run in the dark on 12/11/2014. Most of these people have never ran this far but this is for a special lady. So please give anything you can to help the BLF find a cure for this disease that caused a lot of pain to an amazing woman.
