Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I want to tell you that I am running the Great North Run because I am just wanting to get fit.
I want to tell you that I am running the Great North Run so I can eat more cake.
What I have to tell you is that I have lost too many good friends over the years to suicide. Often sparked by social isolation and loneliness. The Samaritans do so much to help fight this problem. They are a listening ear and a helping hand. Every step I run, every mile, will be for those friends I have lost along the way. I am not at all fit. I am not an ultra marathon runner. So this is a big test of my endurance. But if I can do this and raise a bit of cash along the way I will.
To make my place count I need to raise £400. So far I am just over halfway there. Please help to push this over the limit.
***UPDATE***
The GNR2020 has been cancelled. I am now entering the GNR2021. But I will be doing the virtual GNR - 40 runs over 78 days culminating in 13.1 miles around beautiful Teesside. Keep me motivated and cheer me on by donating.
