Story
Just before lockdown, we were lucky enough to be able to buy our miniature schnauzer, Herschel (many of you will have had your shoes/fingers nibbled by him already).
It's really difficult to imagine the last 18 months without him bouncing around the house, and how we'd have coped without the unwavering love of our dog.
Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to afford the luxury of a new puppy and not every dog is able to find a home with loving owners.
Since we were so privileged and fortunate to find our Herschel the way we did, I wanted to try and give back to help more dogs live in happy homes. To do this, I'll be taking on the Manchester Marathon in April 2022 – a massive challenge for this fairly novice runner.
Birmingham Dog's Home is currently raising money to open its own veterinary clinic to provide life-saving care to rescue dogs, and I'd love to do my part to help them achieve this goal.
Thanks for dropping by, and if you could spare a donation then I'd be super grateful! I'll keep this page updated with some progress updates as winter training brings me ever closer to becoming a human icicle. Until then, stay safe and hug your dogs every day!
Cheers,
Ben and Herschel x
