Welcome to Andy's page, part of Team Le Jog. I have set myself a personal target of 249.01 miles being a humble 1% of the total goal for this fundraising campaign. This is an average of about 6 miles per day which sounds fair, but having spent most of the last two months in a wheelchair and being, as I am, a monoped I think it’s fair-plus.
I intend to knock out what I can on foot but will have to make up some mileage with the aid of my tricycle... If you feel like supporting me with a £/$ or two, that’s great but please spare a few (lockdown?) minutes reading all the stuff below (and beyond) about this charity, the people who need it and their stories... War Child UK aim to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out, and stay on to support them long after the TV cameras have gone home. We help keep them safe, give them an education, and equip them with skills for the future. We understand children's needs, respect their rights, and put them at the centre of everything we do. Whether it's helping Syrian children access education, rehabilitating ex-child soldiers in the Central African Republic or seeking justice for young people detained in Afghanistan. We also work with children and young people to change systems and practices that affect them. We campaign on the root causes of conflict, and we demand that children are at the centre of all humanitarian responses. Your support means we can continue our crucial work and reach even more children.
