Story
As far back as I can remember, I picture my Nan with the shakes. Over time, that progressed to the point where she spent her last couple of years not being in control of her body and towards the end, not being able to communicate. It made it hard to go and visit towards the end but the sparkle in her eye when she saw you was never lost. I hope that my efforts in some small way represents the fight that she went through and the thought that this small amount of funds I am raising might mean that people in the future don't have to suffer like she did.
The plan is to run the whole of the Cotswold way from where I am currently based back via Nan's house to where I went to school and where she and Bamps would have the duty of picking us up.
A little about the charity where your money will be going to:
Founded in 2005 by four people living with the condition, the Cure Parkinson's Trust (CPT) takes a patient-centric approach to funding innovative projects and inspirational scientists, working to modify the progression of Parkinson’s and to find a cure. At CPT we believe that we are closer than ever to delivering treatments that for the first time will slow, stop or even reverse the progression of the disease. Your donation will help us get there.
