Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Last year Mark's dad was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL), for which he has been undergoing treatment at the Macmillan centre at University College London Hospital. He's been on a drug trial which appears to have been more successful than standard chemotherapy treatments would've been, without many of the negative side effects. This trial has been supported by Macmillan's research. Furthermore, Mark's dad has had such a positive experience of the quality of the care he's received from Macmillan staff.
As a massive thank you to Macmillan as well as to raise awareness of its work and show our support for their ongoing and tireless efforts, we're keen to raise some much needed funds by running the Leeds half marathon on Sunday 13th May.
Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
