Story
In May 2012, after a long fight with HLH, Evan Manning was taken away from his family, at the age of 4. No one should ever have to lose a son, a brother or nephew as they did. What I’ve seen my friend & her family go through is heart-wrenching, but what I’ve seen done in memory of Evan has, too, been inspiring.
Last year his sister Lal & the lovely Kat & me – Clo – raised over £1,500 for the Histiocytosis Research Trust in his memory by completing The Way of The Roses cycle ride, with little skill, minimal sense of direction & very basic fitness levels.
We were super proud to smash our target of £1,200 but it doesn’t end there!
This year, on the 16th of August, alongside some very super and rather bonkers people we will be taking part in the Liverpool Big Fun Run. We will be running the 5k course (yes, running!) dressed as characters from Evan’s favourite TV programme – Thomas and Friends!
We would love for you to lend us your support (and your cash!) so please do leave a comment or, even better, donate to us.
