Story
A massive thanks to everyone who has sponsored me & taken sponsor forms with them to help me raise even more cash! My target it £2,000 .. Add that to the money my wife raised last year & that'll be nearly £5,000 we've raised for an amazing cause. Marc will be very proud! Training is going well, I should have shares in Lucozade with the amount of drinks I've got but its all worth it. I'm up to 12 miles now and will be trying to up my miles by 2 a week, with my football as well, I'm sure I'll be ready for the marathon, come April. I've got to look into getting my T-Shirt designed soon, so if anyone one knows of any printing companies (willing to offer a freebie!) I'd be very grateful, I want some printing & a large photo on the front & my name on the back! Anyway thanks again for all your sponsors. I'll keep you updated with the training. Moonie
Thank you for taking time to look on my page - this is the easy part ... the next part is not so easy as you have to part with some of your hard earned cash!! :-) I can promise you though, every penny will be going to a fantastic cause.
As you may or may not know, my Wife & I lost a very special friend - Marc 'Thomo' Thompson, to cancer, last September.
If you were lucky enough to know Thomo, you'll know what and AMAZING person he was. He battled with a spinal & brain tumour for just over a year, facing everyday with a huge smile on his face - he was inspirational!
Thomo enjoyed running & keeping fit so I want to run this years London Marathon, in memory of him & raise as much money for his chosen charity - Brain Tumour Research UK -as I can!
I hope you can help me reach my goal of £2,000!!!
I'll keep you all updated with my progress & if you have any training tips, send them my way!
Thanks for your support,
David 'Moonie' Moon.
