Story
The past few months have been tough for everyone but coronavirus has hit people affected by dementia the hardest and continues to disrupt lives. So that's why I'm lacing up my trainers and taking on Run for Dementia. On almost a daily basis I am reminded of the lack of resources and how stretched family members and professionals are. Research shows there are more than 850,000 people in the UK who have dementia. One in 14 people over the age of 65 have dementia, and the condition affects 1 in 6 people over 80. I’m trying to do my bit both for those with dementia but also for the family and friends who see a loved one disappear before their eyes. Please donate to support me and ensure Alzheimer's Society can be there for the people who need them most.
