How many miles can you run in 30 days? Could you take on 50 or 100 miles to help us beat dementia?

Story

Carl and I are going to be running 50 miles each this month to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. Since my Nan was diagnosed with vascular dementia I have wanted to fundraise for a charity that puts money into research and support. It's such an incredibly cruel disease and every pound is a step closer to finding a cure. Carl found this challenge, "Run for Dementia" and set it up for us to do it together.

I haven't run properly for years and although Carl has got into it since the first lockdown he's never racked up this many miles in a month before, so this is going to be a real challenge!

We lost my wonderful Nanny at the end of 2020 and not only did the long lockdown rob us of precious time with her, the isolation certainly accelerated this disease. My Grandad has now faced the same diagnosis and yet again we have been faced with missing precious time and he suffers because of it. Money from fundraisers like this go to support people like him, which is particularly important in this current situation.

There is a lot of uncertainty at this time but if you're able to spare a couple of pounds it would be so very much appreciated.

Thank you xxx
