Run for Dementia
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
How many miles can you run in 30 days? Could you take on 50 or 100 miles to help us beat dementia?

Story

Let it begin!!!

Today I'll begin my first day raising awareness and trying to raise funds to help the Alzheimer's Society.  Let's improve care for people today and  find a cure for tomorrow.

Losing two Grandparents to Alzheimer's and having lived through the effects this awfull illness can cause to both the sufferer and those close to them, I would like to help others who are living with the same situation. The Alzheimer's society is there to support and comfort those who are struggling.

Currently 850,000 people in the UK have this illness, this figure grows continuously.

There is over 42,000 sufferers under the age of 65 in the UK.

1 in 4 hospital beds are occupied by a dementia sufferer of the age of 65.

Its time to help those who help us!

I'll be running 100 mile in the next 30 days.

If I manage to raise £95 it will provide a telephone-based Dementia Advisor for a full day.

My decision to run 100 miles was easy to make and I'm determined not to let them down (Not sure my legs will agree).

Thank-you for taking the time to read my awareness post your support really means everything.

Please "like" "share" and "donate".

Look forward to my updates throughout the next 30 days.

Let's do this!
