Story
She came back to the UK to start treatment at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, and make the most of an unexpected early retirement from international schools. After 5 years of living with cancer, aiding research of cancer and starting a branch of the Topic Of Cancer group in Guildford, the chemotherapy ceased to help and Anne went for palliative care at the Princess Alice Hospice.
At the hospice the facilities and staff ensured comfort for her in any way they could, and made sure the focus of her stay there was spending time with loved ones.
Anne was an inspiring woman, fiercely intelligent, kind, and loved by all who knew her. She could light up a room with her presence. She lived her life with good thoughts, good words and good deeds. We're running to raise money for the hospice and its staff who did all they could.
We're running for Anne.
