Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As those of you who have known me long enough will know, I ran London in 2018 (the hottest marathon on record just to get that in there) with my lovely friend marathon mentor extraordinaire Jo & the equally fantastic Amber! Whilst extremely proud of what I achieved, I still have unfinished business with the London Marathon…..so 6 years later I will be completing part 2.
With lessons learnt from 2018 and a new goal of not just crossing the line but beating my previous time I’m going to give it my best shot. So here goes…….London Marathon 2.0
On this page I’ll be sharing my journey marathon over the next 6 months or so. This will hold me accountable for the upcoming challenge as well as being a great opportunity to look back on how far I’ve come.
I hope my journey inspires you not necessarily to run a marathon but to go get anything you want to achieve. Any pennies donated to cheer me on my journey would be appreciated also (although I know times are hard and money tight).
Funds will predominantly 80% go to Ron Pickering Foundation as they have been so kind in giving me a place.
10% will go to a Breast Cancer Charity of my primary school Best Friend Emma’s choice. She sadly passed away from Breast Cancer in October 2021 and I would like to do something in her memory. The chosen charity will be confirmed by her husband Matt/family.
A further 10% will also go to Macmillan as my Dad is in remission from Prostrate Cancer and a number of my best friends parents have various forms of cancer. If you would like to donate solely to Prostrate Cancer please sponsor my team mate who's page is below:
