As part of the Action Radiotherapy Champions Network along with colleagues from the world of radiotherapy I am raising money to support Action Radiotherapy; the UK’s only charity dedicated to improving access to radiotherapy treatment for all cancer patients. We will be undertaking a number of challenges including the Great North Run Solo, where they will be attempting 40 runs in 78 days to celebrate the 40th birthday of the Great North Run. Amongst that will be other challenges including 5k and 10k virtual races. 

I have been part of the radiotherapy world for almost 20 years & in that time have seen some amazing developments. However radiotherapy is underfunded despite the fact that it will cure more cancer than chemotherapy #radiotherapycurescancer. Action Radiotherapy is committed to supporting the NHS, and the dedicated professionals who provide radiotherapy treatments, to make sure that every patient who would benefit from radiotherapy receive it.
