Story

Hi and thanks for visiting our page.

In 2004, our sister (-in-law), Susanna, was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. This is a kidney condition that does not yet have a cure and many sufferers, often young children, ultimately end up with kidney failure - requiring dialysis and a transplant.

The treatment of the condition is tough and despite 1 in 5,000 people suffering from it every year it has a very low level of awareness. On September 26th we are running 13.1 miles to raise money for, and to raise awareness of, the charity NeST. This charity supports research into the causes and treatment of Nephrotic Syndrome - with the overall aim of finding a cure. We are also doing it to show our support for our sister - you wouldn't guess that she has the condition as she is so brave and hides it well!

Please show your support to us, Susanna and NeSt by donating today - we really appreciate any donation you can give, big or small.

Thank you so much, Beth and Louisa

Nephrotic Syndrome (NS) affects approx 10,000 people in the UK, majority are children, with no known cause or cure. The current treatment is non-specific and highly toxic, with many potentially life-threatening complications. NeST funds Bristol Children's Hospital in researching NS to find a cure.
