My Dad, Steve Rowland, was recently diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.

For those of you who know my Dad, You will agree he is a great Friend, Father and Grandfather. He will always make you laugh, be there when you need him, a true superhero in plain clothing.

Inspired to not sit by and feel sorry for him and the difficult times ahead, I hope you will be inspired like me to do something about it.

In the UK, 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in their lives and I am two and half times more likely to get Prostate Cancer because my Dad has it...which is further increased by my recent weight gain and unhealthy diet. Research into prostate cancer and services for men with the disease have been badly underfunded. Meanwhile, more and more men are getting diagnosed every year and it’s predicted that prostate cancer will be the most common cancer in the UK by 2030.
